LibGig Recruiting Director Brad RogersBrad Rogers shares some LIS career advice for San Jose State University students and recent grads of SJSU School of Information. The iSchool’s Career Blog is published by the SJSU career center liaison to iSchool to share resources and tips for LIS students and graduates.

Brad also explains the kinds of hiring done by LibGig:

  2. Temporary staffing is typically for open-ended contracts that may start with a timeframe in mind but expand if needed. These positions fill a temporary gap for an employer.

Brad explains that the primary benefit of taking a temporary position is to gain relevant experience and begin building a professional network.
