“Finding and Researching Experts and Their Testimony” was revised and updated to a fourth edition in January 2018. The white paper is a joint effort of four legal experts:
- Nathan Rosen, LAC Group Researcher and Knowledge Services Manager, currently on-site at Herrick Feinstein.
- Jim Robinson, Founder/President of JurisPro, a free online directory of expert witnesses in over 10,000 areas of expertise.
- David Dilenschneider, Senior Director, Client Relations for LexisNexis.
- Myles Levin, CEO of Daubert Tracker, online resource for tracking the gatekeeping history of experts.
The document is an extensive review of resources and cost-effective strategies for conducting an expert witness search, covering subject matter, finding the right expert for a given case, verifying credentials, uncovering case-related information and more.
According to Nathan,
“We first published ‘Finding and Researching Experts and Their Testimony’ in 2007 to fill the need for a comprehensive resource on expert witnesses. Since then, the document has been updated multiple times. Expert witnesses have become a vital part of the litigation process, so we also include real-world examples of the consequences of poor vetting.”
Nathan Rosen is an experienced research and knowledge specialist who has been with LAC Group since November 2015. He was recognized as a top innovator by “Inside Counsel” magazine and was profiled in a book on top researchers of Wall Street.
