ShiftCentral is pleased to be sponsoring the 34th annual Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) Conference & Exhibition, May 6-9 in Orlando, FL. For those new to SCIP, it’s a global community of collective minds, with business experts across industry, academia, and government who come together to build and share strategic intelligence, research decision-support tools, processes and analytics capabilities.
Last year’s event was attended by approximately 800 members that were offered over 200 educational sessions. ShiftCentral has been a long-time partner of SCIP and my colleague Paul Kavanaugh helped shape the agenda for this year’s event by participating on the Conference Advisory Board.
The three-day conference features several noteworthy sessions, including Strategic Boardroom – Incorporating Futurecasting Into Your Strategic Intelligence Program, hosted by Jim Barnett, Director of Strategic Intelligence Analysis at AARP, and ShiftCentral’s Merrell Moorhead, VP, Content & Editorial.
This boardroom engagement session, reserved for senior level executives, will explore how futurecasting can be a valuable tool for MI/CI teams who support corporate strategy. Three key takeaways of the session include:
- A real-world application of futurecasting in the health industry
- Ways to foster a culture of futurecasting within your organization
- Factors which should be included in a futurecasting exercise
