“It’s a pleasure to work at LAC Group every day with people who are very knowledgeable and passionate about providing the highest level of client services. We continually strive to improve our storage facilities and services to meet the evolving media demands of our clients. The Director 10K film scanner provides a convenient option for clients to digitize their assets in the same secure location where their film is preserved. We create the ideal end-to-end archival solutions for the clients we serve.”

Tim Knapp is SVP of Media & Archive Services at Burbank and Thousand Oaks locations.  Tim brings more than 35 years of experience in motion and still imaging—first in film, and most recently in digital.

As the North American Sales and Marketing Manager in Kodak’s Hollywood Office—and later as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Technicolor Entertainment Services—Tim worked directly with movie studios, labs, cinematographers, indie filmmakers, archivists and others. Tim has an extensive and wide-ranging understanding of the capabilities and challenges of film and digital asset management, including the issues and opportunities it presents for archivists as they face aging media libraries and an increasingly digital future.

Tim joined LAC Group from Reflex Technologies, where he served as President of this archival scanning company.

Tim lives with his family in Thousand Oaks, CA and enjoys golf and movies.
