Deborah Schwarz, founder and CEO of LAC Group, was profiled in the July 23, 2017, “How I Made It” feature of the Los Angeles Times.
This reluctant librarian has a taste for disruption tells her story of starting a library services company with nothing more than sweat equity. Through organic growth and acquisition, she grew the company from modest beginnings to a $50 million dollar business with 400 employees.
“Successful businesses sometimes aren’t planned out in advance,” she says, “you need to see the opportunities as they come and grab hold fiercely.”
Deborah continues to run LAC Group, which is now part of the TZP Group investment portfolio.
