Mario Thériault, LAC Group’s Chief Business Development Officer, has been elected as the Chairperson of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors for 2020-2021.
Mario has been a member of the Chamber for the last five years, serving as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors. He was sworn in during the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting and Convention, held on October 26 and October 27, 2020. He succeeds Phil Noble, the retired CEO of Grant Thornton LLP, who served as the Chairperson for the 2019-2020 term.
Upon his election, Mario said:
“The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is the gold standard of business associations, whose history is inextricably woven into the building of our country. On every Main Street in the country, local chambers of commerce are finding ways to help businesses make it through COVID-19. I look forward to helping carry on that nation-building tradition at a time when we are most needed.”
